Developing Advanced Therapeutic Solutions

The Domb Research Group, based at the Institute for Drug Research at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, develops innovative solutions in medicinal and pharmaceutical chemistry. Our research focuses on biodegradable polymers, advanced drug-delivery systems, and small-molecule therapeutics. We guide promising discoveries from initial design and synthesis through characterization, intellectual property and patent development, and preclinical evaluation aiming to translate scientific innovation into practical biomedical applications.

The Laboratory

A working lab,
not a slideshow

Every project begins with chemistry at the bench -glassware, solvents, reactions, heat, and the patience required to turn a hypothesis into a molecule that behaves as intended. The chemistry shown throughout this website includes the synthesis of phenolate salts and green chemistry approaches for developing affordable catalysts.
